BROTHERS IN ARMS

Without question, one of the most familiar and successful albums ever released, but one that we have resisted from featuring since we started our About The Music sessions some ten - yes, TEN!!! - years ago now, almost to the day too.

Brothers In Arms was the fifth studio album released by Dire Straits in May 1985. It topped the UK Album Charts for 14 weeks, won Grammy & Brit awards and became one of the best selling albums of all time. It was also the first album to sell over one million copies on CD. It was also one of the first albums to be recorded using digital recording techniques.

With great songs, superb musicianship and excellent production, the album then became a hi-fi demo room "standard" - and still gets played regularly by our customers, even after 40 years.

We will be featuring the album in its entirety but will augment the evening with other tracks from the band's back catalogue and possibly even some solo material too.

** Please note that, with limited spaces available and our wish to allow each & every one of our customers a chance to attend these events, we will give priority to those wishing to attend who did not come along to our previous About The Music event unless numbers allow. We will also run a "reserves" list should any spaces become available nearer the day of the event.
