Basically Sound offer systems that reproduce music as it is meant to sound. With pace, rhythm and timing, our systems will bring you closer to the original recording. As music enthusiasts ourselves, we are keen to ensure that our customers have systems that allow them to engage with and enjoy listening to their music collection, whether from CD, vinyl or streamed from the internet.
With experienced staff who understand the complexities of the ever changing world of computer based audio and networked "digital streaming" technology, we are able to assist with configuring your home network and optimising it to suit your "networked audio" needs. With knowledge of both PC and Mac platforms, we can install and configure routers, NAS drives, Ethernet switches and music server solutions to create a complete networked audio solution to suit your needs.
With many years of experience, we are able to service, repair and upgrade a wide range of turntables, tonearms and cartridges including leading brands that we represent such as Rega, Linn and SME along with those of most other manufacturers such as Michell, Origin Live, Wilson Benesch, and invariably regardless of the turntable's age. Whether you require a new drive belt, a replacement stylus, a cartridge upgrade or require a complete turntable over-haul, we can help.
To get the best performance from your system, Basically Sound offer a full in-situ system check-up service. We will give unbiased advice – but only where and when necessary – whilst leaving you completely satisfied that your system is performing to its full potential.
Our Charges: 2 Channel - £150 / Home Cinema - £225 (Charges are for Norfolk locations only – please call for other locations)
With hundreds of titles available from the excellent Music On Vinyl catalogue, alongside a selection of releases from other labels, Basically Sound offer their customers the chance to purchase high quality 180gsm vinyl LP's for their music collections. Contact us if there is a title you are after - we may just have a copy in there somewhere.
Using our Okki Nokki Record Cleaning Machine, we offer a complete record cleaning service to help bring your vinyl back to life. By removing residue and grime from deep within the grooves, the cleaning process allows your stylus to once again track the LP's groove properly, reproducing the full detail of the recording without all those clicks and pops (scratches excepted!!!).
Our Charges: £2.50 per single LP including a new Nagaoka anti-static inner sleeve.
Whether you require a dedicated music room or a discrete multi-room installation, we are able to offer a bespoke design and installation service, working alongside architects, builders and other trades, to offer you a complete, integrated solution.
